Join us for a magical realism writing workshop that blurs the lines between magic and real life. Think Matilda, Edward Scissorhands, The Princess Bride, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, and even Toni Morisson’s iconic Beloved—these are all stories with just a hint of magic, aka magical realism. You'll learn some creative writing basics, how to spot the genre, and then each of us will write an original short story in the magical realism style. This class is great for most skill levels.
