Wine Wednesday Oil Painting Series with Glynnis King

This oil painting series is for students at every level. No need to have any experience in oils, Artist, Glynnis King will walk you through the painting step by step teaching you various techniques along the way. Just some of the things you’ll learn include creating atmospheric depth, using the elements of art in your work, color blocking, and using thinner. All supplies will be provided and you will take home something sure to be proud of!

• The first two classes (September 6th and 13th) students will get a feel for the medium as they work to complete their landscape.
• The final two classes (September 20th and 27th) students will develop skills further and challenge students with a self portrait painting.

Techniques on layering will be discussed in addition to lighting, shape and developing human likeness. Please bring a reference photo of yourself or you may use a camera phone/mirror.

You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks for this wine down Wednesday night event.
