About

Abby Elzemeyer Phillips founded Elzemeyer Talent Agency in the spring of 2008 at the age of 25 and expanded the agency to cover the entire Southern region, booking talent in film, TV, commercials and print. During her time as a local agent, she was the casting director on three feature films in the Memphis area, taught acting classes for local talent, and served as the chair of the Memphis chapter of the Association for the Future of Film and Television. In 2012, Phillips' agency merged with MACS/AMAX agency out of Nashville, Tennessee and in the same year she created the first Memphis Fashion Week, which continues to happen annually in the Spring. She was the founder of the non-profit Memphis Fashion Design Network (MFDN), which has now become Arrow. MFDN works to educate, cultivate and promote the local fashion industry. MFDN is housed on Flicker Street at The Lab, a shared studio and educational space for the local industry, created by Phillips and now used as the beta test for Arrow. Via the non-profit, she has built the curriculum, recruited teachers and secured equipment for the continuing education Fashion Design Program at Memphis College of Art. These efforts are currently funded by Memphis Fashion Week events. Abby has been involved in the community for many years with such organizations as Leadership Memphis, Junior League of Memphis, and The Memphis Advertising Federation.
